There have been reports coming from local French medias claiming that a teacher in high school was threatened by a student’s parent because of a caricature of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan being shown during exhibition. This happening raised further scrutiny over the safety of this teacher and portrayed a wider question on the safety of French educators in the threat of radicalism and violence in schools towards them. It also evoked an undesirable resemblance to Samuel Paty’s brutal murder weeks before the verdict of the trial and retriggered the debate on freedom of expression and foreign interference.
