The wall between Mexico and the USA: a pragmatic point of view
“Taxpayers will no longer pay for the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico”. This is what Joe Biden said in 2021. However, on the 4th of October 2023, a discreet announcement was made about extending the wall. The President of the United States clearly did not take this on board. However, the history of this wall did not begin with Joe Biden or Donald Trump, so what is its history? Beyond the ideological and human issues raised by the construction of this wall, what is its real purpose? These are the questions that CS actu has asked itself, and it will attempt to answer them.
